What is the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce?

The Wantagh Chamber of Commerce (WCC) encourages the economic development of Wantagh by providing opportunities for local businesses and acting as a liaison with local government. The WCC also reaches out to our schools, organizations and residents.

Our numerous annual events stimulate awareness and unify us as a community to insure a quality lifestyle in Wantagh. To the prospective entrepreneur, a Chamber membership is an asset with a great business value. We invite you to join in our progress through networking and by patronizing our businesses for the betterment of Wantagh.

Your Chamber hosts several annual events, including; the Spring Fun Hunt at Wantagh Park, the Winter Wonderland and Holiday Lighting Ceremony at the Wantagh Preservation Society where hundreds of guests experience Wantagh while enjoying shopping, refreshments, prizes, games, entertainment, excitement and music. Our largest and most popular event is the St. Patrick's Day Parade and Block Party and Grand Marshal Dinner.

Business of the Month
At Wantagh Chamber general meetings. You have the opportunity as a business, to drop your business card in the 'Business of the Month' fishbowl. A random selection will be made. The pick becomes the business of the month. Featured on the website, featued on the newsletter.

Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Our Membership Committee will organize a grand opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, for any new Wantagh business at a commercial location that joins the Chamber. Town, County and State officials are invited with local news coverage allowing for maximum exposure to the community.

Listing on the Chamber Website
Your Chamber business membership includes a free listing on the Wantagh Chamber website, under the category of your choice that best fits your business. The listing includes your business name, address, phone number and web address.

Networking Events
Professional networking events provide a camaraderie for all to share or associate with fellow business leaders of the community.

Awards
Each year the Chamber recognizes outstanding local businesses and individuals that has made significant contributions to the Wantagh community. The "Wantagh Small Business Person of the Year Award" and the "Wantagh Beautification Award" are presented at an annual awards ceremony that is hosted by the Chamber.
